Annual Spring Bulb Plant.

Background.

F.R.E.G work in close partnership with the Farndon Parish Council.
Both groups aim to preserve & improve life in the Village by promoting environmental projects.

The Parish Council are pleased to be able to offer annual funding to bulb planting projects around the Village.
They invited F.R.E.G to become involved with this project.

The group were very pleased to accept as it fits several of our own stated aims.
We were very pleased to be asked & happy to offer assistance by helping to organise this event.

We also have a great of FUN on our day out to plant the bulbs.
We are also now regularly joined by the Brownies & Guides.

Planting areas.

The original aim was to plant over 1000 bulbs, mostly Daffodils & Narcissi. We were free to plant in any pattern we chose. 
    Marsh Lane (Near the Londis Minimarket).
    Church Street.
    Rear of North End.
    Nursery Ave / North End Green.
    North End / Meadows Garages Green. 
    At the top of Main Street.
    Fosse Road frontage of the playing fields.
    Pumping Station / Chapel Lane Green.
    Top of long lane.




Timetable.

We have been planting since October 1997. Many of the bulbs give us repeat joy over several years.
