Poop & Scoop - 2000 and ongoing.
F.R.E.G. are a group who have always believed in positive action!
This is one of the many projects we have organised to care for our Village.
We have talked to many Farndon Resident's who own dogs and know that you are responsible owners who clean up after your pets. Indeed several of us own dogs and also walk them around the Village.
For those of you who already scoop, a big "Thank You!" from ourselves and from the Children in the Village who would otherwise be at risk from the diseases carried in pet waste.
One of F.R.E.G. 's aims has always been :
"To encourage everyone to work together to improve our village for the future".
This project gives all dog owners in the Village a chance to help & it costs you nothing !
You have paid already! We have taken your money at several local events over the summer at the School Fete, The Village Gala and The Riverside Day. Thank you all for playing the games or donating so freely.
As with all the money we raise, we invested this back into our Village.
We have had many 6 large new dog bins made.
The District Council have agreed to empty them for us as part of their regular rounds.
The Parish Council have agreed to sponsor the annual cost of emptying the bins.
Farndon Dog Club have also sponsored two new bins. Thank you to them.
Many of you helped us choose where best to locate them!
You know where you walk your dogs most frequently. You told us where to "plant" the new bins to be of most use?
If you think we could provide more bins then contact us via the Contact Us or write to FREG c/o Farndon Village Hall or come to our next meeting there (1st Monday of each month, 7.30pm).
This initiative is supported by:
FREG, Farndon Parish Council,

Once again "THANK YOU" if you already clean up after your dog!
