 Farndon Marina Situated on the River Trent at Farndon just outside the historic market town of
Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire.

We think you'll be pleasantly surprised when you visit us at how mature and tranquil
our 25 acre site is, we could be your ideal location for a short or long term mooring.

Recently completed refurbishment work, and mooring improvements have met with
approval. Farndon Marina has been a family run business since 1966 and it still
maintains a relaxed, friendly, family atmosphere. Easily accessible by road, rail or
river with everything you need close by in Farndon which has a village shop, pubs
and restaurants all within easy reach.
 
 St Peters School  We are proud to have such an excellent Village school.  
 BTCV F.R.E.G are a registered Conservation group.
We are insured via the services of this excellent group.
 
 Farndon Watch  Are you 8 to 13 years old? Interested in nature exploration and discovery,
games and practical activities with other young people?

Then come and join in the fun with: FARNDON WILDLIFE WATCH GROUP.

They meet on the 2nd Saturday of every month, 9.30am to 11.30am.
Whatever the weather, meet at Farndon Village Hall, Farndon Village,
 (unless a different venue is listed).

Members and non-members welcome. Under-8's to be accompanied by an adult.
Please come dressed for the weather! £1 per meeting. Per child.

Responsible for the upkeep of then Farndon Willow Holt so we regularly join
with them on work days.

 Natural England  Natural England works for people, places and nature, to enhance biodiversity,
landscapes and wildlife in rural, urban, coastal and marine areas; promote
access, recreation and public well-being; and contribute to the way natural
resources are managed so that they can be enjoyed now and in the future.
 
Natural England works to ensure that the use and management of the natural
environment is more sustainable.
 
It brings together advice and funding to promote farming and land management
practices that benefit wildlife and encourage biodiversity.
 
Natural England is the Government’s statutory adviser on landscape, with
responsibility for landscape designations such as National Parks, Areas of
Outstanding Natural Beauty and Heritage Coasts.
 
Natural England is also concerned with England’s future landscapes,
with involvement in planning policy and a range of environmental land
management projects.
 
 Newark CPRE  The Newark branch of the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England.
 
A fantatsic group who monitor all planning application in our local area & region.
 
They fight regular campaigns on large & small issues, attempting to protect the
character of our towns from the damage of unconstrained over development.
